Kristin Scott Thomas’ Sarah’s Key to Open Santa Barbara International Film Festival; Annette Bening Among Honorees

Stage and screen star Kristin Scott Thomas’ new film, Sarah’s Key, will open the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on January 27.

During the festival, which runs through February 6, stage and screen star Annette Bening will receive the American Riviera Award, which was established to recognize an actor who has had a strong influence on American Cinema.

Other honorees will include James Franco with the Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours; actor/producer Harrison Ford with the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film; and Christopher Nolan, writer/director/producer of Inception, with the Modern Master Award.
