Kristin Chenoweth to Join Annie Potts, Miriam Shor, et al. in ABC’s Good Christian Bitches Pilot

Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth has been cast in the ABC dramedy pilot Good Christian Bitches, according to a report on TVLine.com.

Based on the book of the same name, the show centers on a recently divorced mother (Leslie Bibb) of two who moves back to the affluent Texas neighborhood where she grew up to find herself immersed in a world of gossip and duplicity. The show will also feature stage veterans Annie Potts and Miriam Shor, as well as Jennifer Aspen and Marisol Nichols. Chenoweth is slated to play Darlene, a queen bee of the community.


Chenoweth received a Tony Award for her performance in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown and a Tony nomination for Wicked. She was most recently seen on Broadway in Promises, Promises. In addition, she received the Emmy for her work on Pushing Daisies and an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of April Rhodes on the FOX series Glee.
