Due to overwhelming demand, a second reunion performance by the original Broadway cast of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods Reunion has been added to the calendar at California's Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

The performance, originally scheduled for November 9 at 6pm, will reunite members of the musical's original cast and creative team including Bernadette Peters (The Witch), Joanna Gleason (The Baker's Wife), Chip Zien (The Baker), Robert Westenberg (Cinderella's Prince and Wolf), Kim Crosby (Cinderella), Danielle Ferland (Little Red Riding Hood), and Ben Wright (Jack), along with the show's creators Sondheim and Lapine.

A second performance will now take place at 1pm earlier that day and will feature a discussion and musical performances from the show. Produced by Eileen Roberts in association with the Segerstrom Center, Mo Rocca will serve as moderator, with Tedd Firth offering musical direction.

Into the Woods premiered in 1986 at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. The production opened on Broadway on November 5, 1987, at the Martin Beck Theater and won Tonys for Best Original Score and Best Leading Actress in a Musical (Gleason). It has seen two major New York City revivals and will enjoy an off-Broadway production with the Roundabout Theatre Company this December. A screen adaptation starring Meryl Streep will be released in December.
