Hamish Linklater to Star in The Projectionist at Kirk Douglas Theatre

Hamish Linklater will star in the premiere of Michael Sargent’s The Projectionist, set to play in the Kirk Douglas Theatre, March 26-April 4, as part of Center Theatre Group’s DouglasPlus series. Bart DeLorenzo will direct.

This comedy is about Randy (Linklater), an unlikely hero living and working in a second-run movie house on the edge of Hollywood and Vine. The cast will also feature Maynor Alvarado, Lauren Campedelli, Hugh Dane, Barry del Sherman, Tara Chocol Joyce, Christian Leffler, Don Oscar Smith, and Brittany Slattery.

The creative team will include John Ballinger (sound design), Ann Closs-Farley (costume design), Chris Covics (set design), and Anne Militello (lighting design).

Linklater plays Matthew in the CBS sit-com, The New Adventures of Old Christine. He most recently appeared on stage in Sin, A Cardinal Deposed at the Hayworth Theatre, and his many other theater credits include The Busy World Is Hushed, Hamlet, Good Thing, and The Square.
