ABC Family will move forward with the new drama Bunheads, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As previously reported, Sutton Foster stars in the show, slated to air in September, which has been created by Amy Sherman-Palladino.

On the series, Foster will play Michelle, a Las Vegas showgirl who marries a man on a whim and moves to his sleepy coastal town, taking an uneasy role at her new mother-in-law’s dance school.

Foster has won Tony Awards for Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes. She has also received Tony nominations for her starring roles in Little Women, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Shrek The Musical. Among her other stage credits are the City Center Encores! production of Anyone Can Whistle and Second Stage Theatre’s production of Trust.
