Alexis Gershwin to Present Concert at Catalina Bar & Grill

Catalina Bar & Grill will present singer Alexis Gershwin, the niece of iconic songwriters George and Ira Gershwin, in a concert titled Gershwin Sings Gershwin. The 75-minute program will be presented on March 22.

Gershwin's song list will include standards such as "Someone to Watch Over Me," "The Man I Love," "I've Got a Crush on You," "Our Love Is Here to Stay," and many others. The show is billed as a "musical journey and salute to her uncle’s music."

The concert will feature the Gershwin Singers & Band, under the musical direction of Steven Applegate. It is made up of Sarah Brandon, tenor Will North, and alto Kara Shaw (of Sherman Oaks), as well as pianist Steve Rawlins, bassist Randy Landis, drummer Bob Leatherbarrow, and saxophonist Rusty Higgins.
