Shoes to Play West End’s Peacock Theatre in 2011

Shoes, a new musical/dance revue, will play the West End’s Peacock Theatre, February 8-March 13, according to Whatsonstage.com.

The piece, which just concluded a brief run at Sadler’s Wells, is devised by director/choreographer Stephen Mear and composer-lyricist Richard Thomas. It focuses on footwear and will include such numbers as “Vex in the City,” “Imelda Marcos Argues with the Nation,” and “The Flip-Flop Paradigm.”

The production features work by choreographers Aletta Collins, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and Kate Prince. The creative team will include production designer Tom Pye, musical director Martin Lowe, and film artist Tim Hope.
