The Royal Court Theatre has announced selections for its 2009 season.

Highlighting the season will be three works by Wallace Shawn: a new play to be performed by Shawn and Miranda Richardson and directed by Andre Gregory, along with revivals of his monologue The Fever, starring Clare Higgins and Aunt Dan and Lemon, starring Jane Horrocks, both directed by Dominic Cooke. In addition, there will be readings of many of Shawn’s early plays, directed by David Hare.

The season will also feature 2008 Tony Award winner Mark Rylance in Jez Butterworth’s new play Jerusalem, directed by Ian Rickson, along with productions of Marius Von Mayenburg’s The Stone, Mark Ravenhill’s Over There, Alia Bano’s Shades, Molly Davies’ A Miracle, and Polly Sternham’s Tusk Tusk.
