Disney's Aladdin Lights Up London's West End

The acclaimed Broadway musical has its UK premiere tonight.

Disney's Aladdin makes its West End debut this evening, officially opening at the Prince Edward Theatre.

The show, which is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, premiered on Broadway in 2014, and has music by Alan Menken, and lyrics from Howard Ashman, Tim Rice, and Chad Beguelin, who also wrote the book. Leading the company is Dean John-Wilson in the title role, alongside Jade Ewen as Jasmine, Trevor Dion Nicholas as Genie, Don Gallagher as Jafar, Peter Howe as Iago, Irvine Iqbal as the Sultan, Nathan Amzi as Babkak, Stephen Rahman-Hughes as Kassim, and Rachid Sabitri as Omar.
