Capital Repertory Theatre has announced the productions set for its 2012-2013 season.

The season will kick off with Tina Fabrique starring as Ella Fitzgerald in Ella (July 24-August 12), conceived By Rob Ruggiero and Dyke Garrison, with book by Jeffrey Hatcher. Next, Capital Rep will present Pride @Prejudice (October 2-28), an interactive, modern day adaptation by Daniel Elihu Kramer of Jane Austen’s classic novel. The new year will bring the regional premiere of David Mamet’s Race (January 15-February 10), a play about sex, guilt, and, of course, race.

The season will include the world premiere of Gordon Greenberg and Tommy Newman’s musical The Single Girls Guide (March 5-30), which focuses on newspaper columnist Emma Woodhouse in 1964 Manhattan. Closing the season will be John Logan’s play about the painter Mark Rothko, Red (April 23-May 19).

During the holiday season, Captial Rep will present the regional premiere of This Wonderful Life, adapted by Steve Murray and Mark Setlock.

On November 2-4, Proctors and Capital Rep will collaborate to produce the NEXT ACT! New Play Summit, which will feature three play readings and opportunities to meet the artists.
