Stephen Spotswood Wins Christopher Brian Wolk Award for The Aaronsville Woman
The company will present the award alongside a reading of the play on January 18 at 7:30pm at the company's June Havoc Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.
The play focuses on a woman who has managed to escape a violent home life which has left her physically and emotionally scarred to become one of the world's foremost forensic anthropologists. Casting will be announced in the near future.
Spotswood's other plays include Miranda is Morning, Seven Lessons on Suicide, Born Normal, and Gilgamesh, who saw the deep. In addition, he is the co-founder of Bright Alchemy Theatre, a company of artists devoted to the creation of devised work.
