National Players Announces Cast, Creative Team for As You Like It

National Players has announced cast and creative team information for their production of As You Like It, May 8-9, part of the Olney Theatre Center’s 20th annual Summer Shakespeare Festival. Clay Hopper will direct, and the performances are free to the public.

This production will reimagine the playing space of Shakespeare’s comedy with the court scenes portrayed in black and white and scenes in the Forest of Arden saturated with color. Costumes borrow styles from the 1960s, with a mix of Pleasantville and Austin Powers.

The cast will feature Victoria Bucknell as Celia, Allison Corke as Audry, Alex Gauvin as Amien/Corin/Jacques DeBoys, Beau Guedry as Charles/Sir Oliver Matext/ William, Kevin Hasser as Duke Senior/Duke Frederick, Rishabh Kashyap as Jacques, Dan Kenner as Oliver, Drew Kopas as Orlando, Jonathon Persinek as Silvius, Charlie Retzlaff as Touchstone, Lauren Summers as Phoebe, and Jessica Wilson as Rosalind. The creative team will include Diana Khoury (costume design), Mark Lanks (lighting design), Edward Moser (sound design), and Cristina Todesco (set design).
