Hugh Nees, J. Fred Shiffman to Join Emily Skinner in Signature’s Dirty Blonde

Three-time Helen Hayes Award nominee Hugh Nees and three-time Helen Hayes winner J. Fred Shiffman will join the previously announced Tony nominee Emily Skinner in Claudia Shear’s Dirty Blonde, to play the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia, August 11-October 4. Jeremy Skidmore will direct.
This play with music is about cinematic legend Mae West and West’s most fixated fan Jo — with both to be portrayed by Skinner. The production will open the 20th anniversary season for the Signature, which received the 2009 Regional Theater Tony Award.
The creative team will include Dan Conway (set), Helen Huang (costumes), Dan Covey (lighting), and Matt Rowe (sound).
