Ed Dixon, Ruta Lee, et al. Set for Casa Mañana’s Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

Casa Mañana Theatre has announced casting for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, to run October 23-31. Michael Susko will direct the production, which will have choreography by Josh Rhodes.

With music and lyrics by Carol Hall and a book by Larry L. King and Peter Masterson, the show tells the story of Miss Mona Stangley, proprietor of the famed Chicken Ranch, as she and local sheriff Ed Earl Dodd fight to keep the doors open to the century-old brothel.

The company will feature Ruta Lee (Miss Mona), Ed Dixon (Sheriff), Joe Sturgeon (Melvin P. Thorpe), Liz Mikel (Jewel), Paige Wheat (Angel), Melissa Farmer (Shy), Amber Guest (Doatsey Mae), Neil Rogers (Senator/Rufus), Greg Dulcie (Edsel/Bandleader), and David Coffee (CJ/ Governor).

The ensemble will include Lindsay Gee, Grace Neeley, Christine Zavakos, Aubrey Adams, Tami Mostert, Maranda Harrison, Christopher J. Deaton, Babakayode Ipaye, Michael Anthony Sylvester, C. Nicholas Morris, Bryan Lewis, Michael Borges, and Judah Gavra.
