Ted Levy to Star in Drury Lane’s Hot Mikado

Tony Award nominee Ted Levy will play The Mikado in Hot Mikado at the Drury Lane Theatre, to be directed and choreographed by the show’s creator, David H. Bell. The production will run August 12-October 3, with an opening on August 12.

This musical comedy adaptation of the classic Gilbert and Sullivan musical is set in a mythical Japanese village in the 1940s, and combines a passionate and provocative love story with a rhythmic soaring score featuring jazz, big band, gospel, blues, rock, and stunning choreography including jitterbug, swing, and tap.

The production will also star Julia Black as Peep-Bo, Devin DeSantis as Nanki-Poo, Todd M. Kryger as Pooh-Bah, Andy Lupp as Pish Tush, Susan Moniz as Pitti-Sing, Stephen Schellhardt as Ko Ko, Summer Smart as Yum Yum, and Aurelia Williams.

Also featured are Evan Autio, Karen Burthwright, Matthew DeGuzman, Jarret Ditch, Stephane Duret, Kent Haina, Amanda Kroiss, Nate Lewellyn, Tammy Mader, Tommy Rapley, Katie Spelman, Tiffany Trainer, and Sean Walton.

The creative team will include Marcus Stephens (set), Jesse Klug (lighting), Jeremy Floyd (costumes), Cecil Averett (sound), and Michael Mahler (musical direction).
