Signal Ensemble Announces Cast, Creative Team for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie

Cast and creative team information has been announced for Signal Ensemble Theatre’s production of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, set to play at the Chopin Theatre, April 13-May 16, with direction by Ronan Marra.

Jay Presson Allen’s play centers around an unorthodox teacher at Marcia Blaine School for Girls who dismisses the standard curriculum in favor of lessons in subjects as wide-ranging as Giotto to Hitler to her own romances, which eventually become more than she can overcome.

The cast will star Patricia Austin as Jean Brodie, and feature Jessica Bennett (Monica), Rachael Jenison (Jenny), Cynthia Blakewell (Mary), Simone Roos (Sandy), Brigitte Ditmars (Mackay), Erin Myers (Sister Helena/Miss Campbell), Aaron Snook (Lowther), Eric Smith (Mr. Perry), Joseph Stearns (Lloyd), as well as Annie DiMaria (student), Kasia Januszewski (student), Danielle O’Farrell (student), and Angela Steffens (student). The creative team will include Julie E. Ballard (lighting design), Anthony Ingram (sound design), and Melania Lancy (scenic design).
