Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences Announces Cast for Disney’s Aladdin

The Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences has announced casting for its production of Disney’s Aladdin, to run July 14-August 14. The production will be directed and choreographed by Matt Raftery with musical direction by Michael Mahler.

Based on the 1992 Disney film and featuring an Academy Award-winning score, Aladdin has music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and an adapted book and additional lyrics by Jim Luigs.

In the heart of Agrabah lives a street urchin named Aladdin whose whole life changes when he discovers a magic lamp and unleashes a fun-loving Genie who grants him three wishes. The score of this family classic includes the Disney favorites “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me.”

Aladdin will star Bernie Yvon as the Genie, Christine Bunuan as Jasmine, and Jameson Cooper as Aladdin. Also featured will be Roger Mueller as the Sultan, Debbie Laumand-Blanc as Iago, Dieterich Gray as Jafar, and Karl Hamilton as Razoul. The ensemble will include Andy Lupp, Ashton Napier, and Jarrod Zimmerman.

The creative team will include Rob Rahn (set and properties coordinator), Jared Moore (lighting designer), Nancy Missimi (costume designer), Bob Gilmartin (sound designer), and Jeff Bell (conductor).
