Alexandra Billings, Michael McAssey, Steve Scott, et al. to Participate in Terrence McNally Reading Series

Pride Films and Plays has announced casting for its September and October installments for its The Great Plays of Terrence McNally staged reading series.

The first offering will be Libson Traviata, to be offered on September 12 at 6pm at Mary’s Attic. Steve Scott will direct the performance which will feature Brad Woodard (Stephen), Thomas M. Shea (Mendy), Clayton Stamper (Mike), and Scott Butler (Paul), along with Charles Middleton of Roosevelt University as celebrity host.

On September 19 at 6pm, the company will present Love! Valour! Compassion! at Mary’s Attic. David Besky, Eric Casady, Jonathan Helvey, Michael Lasswell, Brian Rooney, Patrick Rybarczyk and John Zinn are scheduled to appear in the performance which will be directed by Michael Lasswell. Illinois State Representative Harry Osterman will serve as the celebrity host for the evening.

McNally’s Corpus Christ, directed by Patrick Rybarczyk, will be offered on September 26 at 6pm at Mary’s Attic. With Fausto Fernos serving as celebrity host, the performance will feature Jake Szczepaniak, John Highberger, Patrick Gannon, Jonathan Helvey, Lee Wichman, Scott Merchant, Steven Anderson, Spencer Davis, Tyler Dean, Justin LeClaire, Eric Casady, Nick Inzeo, and Frank Sawa.

The Ritz, the final installment of the series, will be performed at Stage 773 on October 24 and be hosted by Honey West. The company will feature Alexandra Billings, Michael McAssey, David Cerda, Ed Jones, Michelle McKenzie-Voigt, Michael Barr, Charles Berglund, Patrick Cannon, Eric Casady, Marie Clawson, Jonas Grey, Jonathan Helvey, Albert Huber, Nick Inzeo, Andrew Knight, Michael Korte, David Lipschultz, Jason Nykiel, Jeffrey Patrick Olsen, Chad Ryan and Kevin Webb.
