Ryann Redmond and Joe Carroll Join Company of Frozen

Redmond will be the first woman to play Olaf the snowman; original stars Caissie Levy and Patti Murin will remain.

Frozen has announced that Joe Carroll and Ryann Redmond will join the company as Hans and Olaf, respectively, with Redmond the first woman to play the beloved snowman. In addition, Noah J. Ricketts will assume the role of Kristoff. All three actors will begin performances Tuesday, February 19, taking over the roles from original cast members Jelani Alladin (Kristoff), Greg Hildreth (Olaf), and John Riddle (Hans), all of whom will play their final performances on Sunday, February 17.

Original stars Caissie Levy and Patti Murin will continue on with the production.

The rest of the cast features Robert Creighton (Weselton), Kevin Del Aguila (Oaken), Timothy Hughes (Pabbie), Andrew Pirozzi (Sven), Zoe Glick (Young Anna), Leila Rose Gross (Young Anna), Mimi Ryder (Young Elsa), Jenna Weir (Young Elsa), Alyssa Fox (Elsa Standby), Aisha Jackson (Anna standby), and Adam Jepsen (Sven alternate). Beginning February 19, the role of Sven will be shared equally by Pirozzi and Jepsen, with each actor playing four performances a week.

Based on the hit 2013 animated film, Frozen features music and lyrics by the creators of the film score, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and a book by Jennifer Lee, the film's screenwriter and codirector. Michael Grandage directs, with choreography by Rob Ashford.
