Eugene O’Neill’s legendary drama opens at the American Airlines Theatre tonight.
Roundabout Theatre Company's new revival of Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Long Day’s Journey Into Night celebrates its opening night tonight, April 27, at the American Airlines Theatre. Directed by Jonathan Kent, the production will run through June 26.
Oscar and Emmy winner Jessica Lange (American Horror Story) stars as Mary Tyrone, alongside Golden Globe winner Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment) as James Tyrone, Tony winner John Gallagher Jr. (The Newsroom) as Edmund, Oscar nominee Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire) as Jim Tyrone Jr., and Colby Minifie (Punk Rock) as Cathleen.
The design team for Long Day’s Journey Into Night includes Tom Pye (sets), Jane Greenwood (costumes), Natasha Katz (lighting), and Clive Goodwin (sound).
Roundabout presents Long Day's Journey Into Night in association with Ryan Murphy, the producer of TV's Glee and American Horror Story. Lange, Byrne, and Shannon received 2016 Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for their performances.
