Desi Oakley to Join Chicago on Broadway as Roxie

Oakley originated the role of Jenna in the national tour of ”Waitress”.

Desi Oakley will join the Broadway production of Chicago as Roxie Hart for three sets of two-week engagements throughout the summer. Oakley, who originated the role of Jenna in the Waitress tour, will appear May 13-26, June 17-30, and July 15-28.

Oakley will be joined by Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly and Ryan Silverman as Billy Flynn, who also return to the cast on May 13. The principal company is also made up of Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, Natasha Yvette Williams as Matron "Mama" Morton, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

With book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Ebb, Chicago is now the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, currently playing at the Ambassador Theatre. The production is directed by Walter Bobbie.
