PHOTO FLASH: Kevin McKidd Visits Broadway’s Newsies

Film and television star Kevin McKidd and his daughter, Iona, attended a recent performance of the Broadway musical Newsies, at the Nederlander Theatre. Afterwards, the pair visited backstage with star Jeremy Jordan and other cast members.

McKidd stars in the new Pixar film Brave, and is also known for his role as Dr. Owen Hunt on Grey’s Anatomy.

Set in New York City at the turn of the century, Newsies, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman, and a book by Harvey Fierstein, tells the story of Jack Kelly (played by Jordan), a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenaged ‘newsies,’ who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets.
