New Plays by Brent Askari, Stacey Rose, and More Join Barrington 2019-20 Season
The lineup will also include new productions of Jeanne Sakata's Hold These Truths and Steven Levenson's If I Forget.
Barrington Stage Company has announced the rest of its 25th anniversary 2019-20 season.
In addition to previously announced productions of Into the Woods (June 19-July 13), the world-premiere musical Fall Springs (August 9-31), and Mark St. Germain's John Updike adaptation Gertrude and Claudius (July 18-August 3), the season will include three other world premieres:
American Underground (October 2-20), by Brent Askari, directed by Julianne Boyd.
America v. 2.1: The Sad Demise & Eventual Extinction of the American Negro (June 14-30), by Stacey Rose, directed by Logan Vaughn.
Ragtag Theatre's Hansel and Gretel (July 25-August 10), featuring book by Sam LaFrage and music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn and LaFrage.
