Last Five Years, Passing Strange, and More Set for New Rep’s 2010-2011 Season

New Repertory Theatre has announced the seven plays that will comprise its 2010-2011 season. The company is in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts.

The season will open with David Mamet’s Boston Marriage (September 12-October 3), directed by New Rep’s artistic director Kate Warner. Next, will be the New England premiere of Cherry Docs (October 17-November 7), by David Gow. Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune will be presented November 28-December 19.

In the new year, Warner will direct the world premiere of afterlife: a ghost story (January 16-February 6), written by Steve Yockey, and featuring Marianna Bassham. Theresa Rebeck’s adaptation of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, entitled simply DollHouse (February 27-March 20, will be directed by Bridget Kathleen O’Leary.

Jason Robert Brown’s musical The Last Five Years will be presented March 27-April 17, and the season will close with Stew and Heidi Rodewald’s musical, Passing Strange (May 1-22), directed by Warner.
