Blackberry Winter Makes World Premiere at New Repertory Theatre

New Repertory Theatre's world-premiere production of Blackberry Winter begins its run tonight in the Charles Mosesian Theater.
Vivienne is as prepared as she can be for the news that confronts her. She leads a successful life, she’s organized, and she has an eye for detail. Unfortunately, as prepared as she can be is not at all when her mother is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Even her insomnia-driven baking and the origin story she creates in her own mind cannot protect her from the new reality of her mother’s life and her own.
Written by Steve Yockey and directed by Kathleen O’Leary, the show features Ken Cheeseman as Gray Mole, Adrianne Krstansky as Vivienne, and Paula Langton as White Egret.
"As a member of the National New Play Network, we’re thrilled to present Steve Yockey’s witty new play, Blackberry Winter," said artistic director Jim Petosa. "Steve’s ability to find humor and warmth in the direst of situations is evidence of his immense talent as a playwright and is on full display in this work. We hope New Rep audiences will join us for this remarkable NNPN Rolling World Premiere production."
The creative team includes Matthew Lazure (set design), Christopher Brusberg (lighting design), Rebecca Saenz (costume design), David Reiffel (sound design), and Anna Burnham (stage manager).
Performances will run through April 17.
