David Margulies, Kristine Nielsen, et al. Set for CENTERSTAGE’s The Rivals

CENTERSTAGE has announced casting for Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s The Rivals, to run September 28 – October 30. David Schweizer will direct the production.


The comedy centers on the complex romances between a host of England’s upper classes in eighteenth century Bath.

The company will feature Clifton Duncan (Mr. Faulkland), Danny Gavigan (Fag/David), Caroline Hewitt (Miss Julia Melville), Jimmy Kieffer (Bob Acres), David Margulies (Sir Anthony Absolute), Manu Narayan (Captain Jack Absolute), Kristine Nielsen (Mrs. Malaprop), Libya Pugh (Lucy), Own Scott (Thomas/Townley), Zoë Winters (Miss Lydia Languish), and Evan Zes (Sir Lucius O’Trigger).

The creative team will include Caleb Wertenbaker (scenic design), David Burdick (costume design), Russell H. Champa (lighting design), and M. Florian Staab (sound design), along with composer Ryan Rumery, who will provide original music.
