A Broadway Celebration: In Performance at the White House to Be Streamed Live on July 19; Broadcast on PBS on October 20

A Broadway Celebration: In Performance at the White House will be streamed live on Monday, July 19 at 7pm. President Obama will give a speech prior to the concert.

Broadway stars Elaine Stritch, Marvin Hamlisch, Brian d’Arcy James, Chad Kimball, Nathan Lane, Idina Menzel, Audra McDonald, Karen Olivo, and Tonya Pinkins will be among the performers in the concert, which will be directed by Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe.

The show will also include performances by Assata Alston, Danielle Arci, and Constantine Rousouli, along with students from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and the Joy of Motion Dance Center.

PBS will broadcast the concert on October 20 as part of its In Performance at the White House series.
