Nancy Anderson, Bruce Dow, Sara Topham to Gleam in STC’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Casting has been announced for Shakespeare Theatre Company’s upcoming production of the Bard’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to run November 15-December 30 in Sidney Harman Hall. Ethan McSweeny will direct, with choreography by Peter Pucci.

In this production, theater, magic, ghosts, and fairies become one in the ruins of an abandoned theater as mismatched lovers Hermia, Lysander, Demetrius and Helena flee to the forest outside Athens.

The cast will feature Tim Campbell as Theseus/Oberon, Duke of Athens, and King of the Fairies; Bruce Dow as Nick Bottom; Adam Green as Philostrate and Puck; Sara Topham as Titania and Hippolyta; Nancy Anderson as Fairy; Christopher Bloch as Starveling; Robert Dorfman as Snug,; David Graham Jones as Francis Flute; Lawrence Redmond as Egeus; Herschel Sparber as Tom Snout; and Ted van Griethuysen as Peter Quince.

Ensemble members will include Maxwell Balay, John Bambery, Jacqui Jarrold, Joe Mallon, Max Reinhardsen, Rohan Saxena, Gracie Terzian, Jessica Thorne, and Katherine Turner.

The design team will include Lee Savage (set design), Fitz Patton (composition and sound design), Jennifer Moeller (costume design), and Tyler Micoleau (lighting design).
