By Bethany Rickwald • Jun 11, 2012 • Washington, DC
Theater Alliance has announced the plans for its 2012-2013 10th anniversary season.

The season will kick off with the world premiere of DC-based playwright Gwydion Suilebhan's Reals (August 27-September 16), a comedy about ordinary people who dress up in disguises and fight crime on a daily basis, directed by Shirley Serotsky.

As the year comes to a close, Theater Alliance will present a Holiday Repertory which will include Black Nativity (November 27-January 7), a coproduction with The HUB Theatre of The HUB's Helen Hayes-nominated production of Wonderful Life (November 30-December 30), and Anthony Neilson's adult comedy The Night Before Christmas (November 30-December 30).

To end the season, Theater Alliance will present a limited engagement of Marc Bamuthi Joseph's Word Becomes Flesh (March 22-24) in association with The Atlas Performing Arts Center. The play depicts a series of letters reflecting a young single father's thoughts and emotions in anticipation of his son's birth.
