Arena Stage has announced that it will add the world premiere of Double Edge Theatre’s The Grand Parade (of the Twentieth Century) to its 2012-2013 season. The play will be presented February 6-10 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle and is conceived and directed by Double Edge Theatre founder and artistic director Stacy Klein.

The Grand Parade (of the Twentieth Century) is created with Carlos Uriona, Matthew Glassman, Hayley Brown, Jeremy Louise Eaton, Adam Bright, and Milena Dabova. Imagined through the lens of Marc Chagall’s paintings, it takes audiences through the 20th century with the use of aerial flight, puppetry, and music.

A team of artists from the United States, Argentina, and Russia will collaborate to bring the production to life. Original compositions are by Alexander Bakshi.
