Intiman Theatre has announced the addition of Shakespeare’s Othello to its 2009 season, to be helmed by artistic director Bartlett Sher. Performance dates, casting and creative team information will be announced at a later date.

Previously announced season shows include Crime and Punishment, adapted by Marilyn Campbell and Curt Columbus from the novel by Dostoyevsky, and directed by Sheila Daniels; Herb Gardner ‘s Tony-winning comedy A Thousand Clowns, about the relationship between a free-living, middle-aged iconoclast and his nephew, a 12-year-old genius; and The Year of Magical Thinking, a play by Joan Didion based on her award-winning, bestselling memoir about the year following the sudden loss of her husband, John Gregory Dunne, and some 18 months later, of their only child.
