Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof and More Set for Village Theatre’s 2012-2013

Village Theatre has announced the productions set for its 2012-2013 season, according to The Seattle Times.

The season will kick off with Roger Miller and William Hauptman’s Big River (September 12-November 18), the musical based on Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Then, Village Theatre will present Joseph Stein, Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick’s musical based on the stories of Sholem Aleichem, Fiddler on the Roof (November 7-January 27). The theater will ring in the new year with Agatha Christie’s murder mystery The Mousetrap (January 16-March 24).

In the spring, Village Theatre will present the world premiere of Trails (March 13-May 19), a play about two friends hiking the Appalachian Trail, with a book by Christy Hall, lyrics by Jordan Mann and music by Jeff Thomson. The season will close with Kander and Ebb’s beloved musical Chicago (May 8-July 28).

Each of the season’s offerings begins performances at the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre in Issaquah and will move to the Everett Performing Arts Center midway through the run.
