Mike Daisey will host and headline A Family Affair, a benefit for Seattle’s Solo Performance Festival at Theatre Off Jackson, February 5.

In A Family Affair, Daisey will tell stories of families and their wonderful, terrifying and infuriating power, joined by solo performers from the Seattle community including Mark Boeker, Allen Johnson, Troy Mink, and Suzanne Morrison. At the conclusion of the performance Daisey’s sister Mary will perform a rebuttal to his story, revealing for the first time the true story that lives right under the surface. A Family Affair will benefit SPF2: Sweatproof!, Seattle’s International Festival of Solo Work at Theatre Off Jackson featuring Andrew Connor, James Judd, Suzanne Morrison, Michelle Todd, and SPF1 artist Jayson McDonald.

Daisey’s many monologues include Invincible Summer, I Miss the Cold War, Great Men of Genius, Wasting Your Breath and 21 Dog Years, and he has performed at venues such as the Public Theater, the Cherry Lane, the Yale Repertory Theatre, and many more.
