California Shakespeare Theater Announces 2011 Season

California Shakespeare Theater has announced the productions it will present for its 2011 season, under the leadership of artistic director Jonathan Moscone.

James Carpenter will star in the title role of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus, to be presented June 1-26. Joel Sass will direct. Next up will be The Verona Project (July 6-31), a new play inspired by Two Gentlemen of Verona, and adapted and directed by Amanda Dehnert.

Moscone will direct George Bernard Shaw’s Candida (August 10-September 4), and the season will conclude with a movement-filled reimagining of Shakespeare’s comedy, The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Shana Cooper, September 12-October 16.
