Judy Gold’s 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother to Play Marines Memorial

Emmy Award-winning actress and veteran stand-up comedian Judy Gold will present, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother at the Marines Memorial Theatre in San Francisco, March 11-23. Co-written with Kate Moira Ryan, the production will be directed by Karen Kohlhaas, who has directed the production since its original New York run.

In the 70-minute show, Gold shares anecdotes about her parenting of the two children she conceived with her former partner and discusses the results of interviews with Jewish women from around the country she conducted with Ryan. A book based on 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother will be released by Hyperion Books next May.

Gold received a 2006 Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance for 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, which also won a GLAAD Award for Outstanding New York Theater: Broadway and Off Broadway. Ryan is also the co-author of Beebo Brinker Chronicles, which will re-open in New York in February. Kohlhass is a founding member of New York’s Atlantic Theater Company.
