Luke Macfarlane will star in the La Jolla Playhouse's production of Keith Bunin's Sam Bendrix at the Bon Soir, to run September 24-October 10 at Martinis Above Fourth. Mark Rucker will direct the production.

The play centers on a young man who is offering his final performance at a Greenwich Village club in 1958 and also waiting for a special someone who has not shown up for the event. The production will feature music by Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein and the Gershwins.

Macfarlane's stage credits include The Normal Heart, Juvenilia, Where Do We Live?, and The Busy World Is Hushed. He may be best known for playing Scotty Wendell on ABC's Brothers and Sisters.
