Old Globe Theatre Postpones Street Lights Production

The Old Globe Theatre has postponed its production of Joe Drymala’s Street Lights, originally set to run February 20-28 at both Lincoln High School’s Center for the Arts and the company’s flagship Old Globe Theatre in San Diego’s Balboa Park.

The delay comes following a workshop period and showcase production of the show at the Old Globe and will afford the creative team with the time to add new material to the show and make other changes to the piece. A future date has not been announced.

Street Lights uses modern hip hop, R&B, and pop to tell the story of a group of inner city teenagers who fight to save their high school music program from being shut down. It was presented late in 2009 as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.
