Rob Evan to Star in The Rock Tenor

Rob Evan will star in the world premiere of The Rock Tenor, to be presented by JV Theatricals at the Wilma Theater, July 8-August 23, with an opening set for July 15. Vincent Marini will direct.

This show will blend popular rock/pop songs with classical arias and Broadway show tunes for a unique concert experience. The set list spans The Beatles, Puccini, Journey, Handel, The Police, Meatloaf, Les Miserables, Mozart, Sondheim, Bon Jovi, Andrea Bocelli, STYX, The Rolling Stones, Daughtry, Keith Urban and will also include music by The String Divas, who will be performing with the rock band. The cast will also include Morgan James, Dustin Brayley, and Aaron LaVigne.

Evan's Broadway credits include Les Misérables, Dance of the Vampires, Little Shop of Horrors, Tarzan, and Jekyll & Hyde, in which he played the title roles. His other stage credits include Johnny Guitar and Hello, Dolly! He is also a member of the platinum selling rock band, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and the lead vocalist for Bat Out of Hell creator Jim Steinman's band The Dream Engine and recently recorded the debut album for his new progressive rock band Menrva Realm.
