Darlene Love Among Performers in Jerry Blavat’s 10th Anniversary Extravaganza

Broadway veteran and 2011 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Darlene Love will be among the performers in radio icon Jerry Blavat’s 10th Anniversary Extravaganza, to be held in Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall on January 28 at 8pm.

The event will showcase the best of Rock & Roll from the late 50s through the 70s. Among the other performers will be Ben E. King, Chris Montez, Shirley Alston Reeves of the Shirelles, Lenny Welch, Edna Wright & The Honeycone, and Philly native disco group, The Trammps.

Love’s Broadway credits include Hairspray, Grease, Carrie, and Leader of the Pack. Among her many hit songs are “He’s A Rebel,” “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “He’s Sure The Boy I’m Gonna Marry,” and “Christmas Baby Please Come Home.”
