Oslo, a new play by J.T. Rogers, will have its New York premiere at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher (Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I), the work will begin previews June 16, with opening night set for July 11.

Described as a darkly comic epic, Oslo tells the story of how Norwegian diplomat Mona Juul and her husband, social scientist Terje Rød-Larsen, planned and orchestrated top-secret, high-level meetings between the State of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, which culminated in the signing of the historic 1993 Oslo Accords.

Casting for the production will be announced in the coming months. The show will feature sets by Michael Yeargan, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Donald Holder, and sound by Peter John Still.

Rogers is also the author of the plays Blood and Gifts, The Overwhelming, and Madagascar.
