The New York City-based company the Shop has teamed with Los Angeles' Ferment Theatre to present two plays by Philip Ridley: Dark Vanilla Jungle, directed by Paul Takacs, and Tonight With Donny Stixx, directed by Frances Loy, running in rep at HERE.

Performances will begin Thursday, January 21, 2016, for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 7, with an official opening set for Tuesday, January 26. The shows will run in rotating rep seven days a week. Both companion plays will be making their New York City premiere.

Dark Vanilla Jungle, recipient of the 2013 Scotsman Fringe First Award, is described as "a compelling and heart-wrenching drama about one girl's craving for family and home…and the lengths she will go to find them." Tonight With Donny Stixx, described as "a story of a young boy's unraveling," recently had its world premiere at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The cast features Harry Farmer (A Midsummer Night's Dream for the Royal Shakespeare Festival London) and Robyn Kerr (Uncle Vanya at the Pearl).

The design team includes Steven C. Kemp (scenic design), Dante Olivia Smith (lighting design), and Toby Jaguar Algya (sound design).

Ridley's most recent stage works include Mercury Fur and Tender Napalm, which was also produced by the Shop at 59E59 Theaters.
