Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler’s musical
Dear Edwina began its third holiday season limited engagement at the
DR2 Theatre, on Friday, December 17. The show continues at the DR2 through February 25, 2011.
Among the celebrity first nighters were Samantha Bee, Ann Harada, Katie Finneran, Frankie James Grande, Clinton Kelly, Mary-Louise Parker, and Brooke Shields, along with producer Daryl Roth.
The show focuses on a girl who is an advice-giver extraordinaire and in the musical, told through a show-within-a-show format, she shares her wisdom on everything from setting the table to making new friends.
Timothy McDonald has directed the production, which features choreography by Steven G. Kennedy and music direction by Joe Kinosian.
The cast includes Beth Cheryl Tarnow (Edwina), Katie Whetsell (Kelli), Judith Dry (Annie), Noah Zachary (Scott), Jared Picone (Bobby), and David McDaniel (Billy), along with Brad Giovanine and Katy Vaughn.
The creative team includes Court Watson (scenic design), Kathryn Furst (lighting design), and Theresa Squire (costume design).
