The Toxic Avenger will end its Off-Broadway run at New World Stages on January 3 in preparation for a national tour. The musical opened on April 6, 2009.

The show, based on Lloyd Kaufman's 1985 cult film, features music and lyrics by David Bryan and book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The New York company currently features Diana DeGarmo, Nick Cordero, Demond Green, Jonathan Root, and Nancy Opel. The production is directed by John Rando.

In addition to the forthcoming tour, the musical recently opened at The Music Hall in Toronto.
