Primary Stages will present the New York premiere of Love Child, written and performed by Daniel Jenkins and Robert Stanton, as part of its 2008-2009 season. The play will run in repertory with Lee Blessing's A Body of Water, October 12-November 19, with an opening set for October 26.

Real and theatrical worlds collide in this new comedy about the night a classic play spoke so loudly to its audience that its audience felt compelled to talk back.

Primary Stages season will begin with A.R. Gurney's Buffalo Gal (July 22-August 30), directed by Mark Lamos and featuring Mark Blum, Carmen M. Herlihy, Jennifer Regan, Susan Sullivan, James Waterston, and Dathan B. Williams. In addition to A Body of Water (September 30-November 9), the season will include Shipwrecked! An Entertainment -- The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told By Himself) by Donald Margulies (January 27-March 7), and Chasing Manet by Tina Howe (March 24-May 2), featuring Tony Award-Winner Jane Alexander.
