Tony Award winner Ellen Burstyn will star in the LAByrinth Theatre Company's production of Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Little Flower of East Orange, which will run March 18-April 20 at the Public Theatre. The show, which officially open on Sunday, April 6, will be directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The cast will feature Elizabeth Canavan, Liza Colón-Zayas, Arthur French, Gillian Jacobs, Ajay Naidu, Michael Shannon, Sidney Williams, and David Zayas. The show will feature sets by Narelle Sissons, costumes by Mimi O'Donnell, lighting by Japhy Weideman, and sound design by David Van Tieghem.

Guirgis' previous plays include Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, In Arabia We'd All Be Kings, and Our Lady of 121st Street, all of which were directed by Hoffman. In addition, Hoffman is known for his stage work in such plays as Jack Goes Boating, Long Day's Journey Into Night, The Seagull, and True West. He won the Academy Award for Capote and is nominated this year for Charlie Wilson's War.

Burstyn received the Tony Award for Same Time, Next Year and has also appeared on Broadway in 84 Charing Cross Road, Shirley Valentine, and Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All. She is a six-time Academy Award nominee, and won the Oscar for Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.
