Repertorio Español Announces Casting for Karen Zacarias’ Mariela en el deserto
Repertorio Español has announced casting for Karan Zacarías’ Mariela en el deserto (Mariela in the Desert), which will begin performances on February 4 prior to an official opening on February 6. Jerry Ruiz will direct the production, which be designed by Robert Federico and will mark the Spanish-language debut of the piece.
The play centers on a husband and wife — once the golden couple of the Mexican artist inner-circle – — who are now isolated not only from colleagues and friends, but also their daughter.
The company will feature Zulema Clares as Mariela, John Concado as Adam, Robert Hager as Carlos, Maria Helán as Blanca, Alfredo Huereca as José, and Teresa Yenque as Oliva.
