Karen Akers, Lucie Arnaz, Anna Bergman, Klea Blackhurst, Barbara Carroll, Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano, Jason Graae, La Tanya Hall, Loston Harris, Sylvia McNair, James Naughton, Steve Ross, Daryl Sherman, Billy Stritch, KT Sullivan, Marlene Verplanck, Julie Wilson, and Karen Ziemba will perform in a special Lyrics & Lyricists tribute to Johnny Mercer at the 92nd Street Y on November 18, at 8pm. The evening, which would have marked the lyricist's actual 100th birthday, will also include Sheldon Harnick as one of the evening's speakers.

As previously announced, the 92nd Street Y's 40th anniversary of its Lyrics & Lyricists series will also include Babalu: The American Songbook Goes Latin (January 9-11), with Lucie Arnaz as artistic director, host, and performer in this program that will use the original big band arrangements of her father, Desi Arnaz. It will be followed by Daryl Sherman's salute to songwriter Johnny Burke (February 21-23); Deborah Grace Winer's salute to The Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers Songbook (March 21-23); Poisoning Pigeons in the Park: The Art of the Satiric Comedy Song with artistic director Rob Fisher and host Sheldon Harnick (May 8-10); and Ted Sperling's tribute to Hoagy Carmichael (June 5-7).
