Full cast and creative team have been announced for the Berkeley Repertory Theatre's production of Mary Zimmerman's acclaimed Argonautika, based on the Greek myth of Jason and the Argonauts, to run November 2-December 16. The production, to be directed by the playwright, will open officially on November 7.

The show was first seen at Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre in 2006. This production will travel to the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey, and the Shakespeare Theater Company in Washington, D.C. in 2008.

The cast will be led by Jake Suffian as Jason, and will feature Justin Blanchard, Allen Gilmore, Sofia Jean Gomez, Casey Jackson, Chris Kipniak, Tessa Klein, Ronete Levenson, Atley Loughridge, Andy Murray, Soren Oliver, Jesse J. Perez, Christa Scott-Reed, and Paul Oakley Stovall.

The creative team includes Daniel Ostling (sets), Ana Kuzmanic (costumes), John Culbert (lighting), Andre Pluess and Ben Sussman (sound), and Michael Montenegro (puppet design). Zimerman won the Tony Award for Metamorphoses and is currently represented by her direction of the Metropolitan Opera's production of Lucia di Lamermoor.
