Tony Award winner Alan Cumming will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the Paul Taylor Dance Company’s black-tie gala, to be held at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

The gala performance will include the New York premiere of The Uncommitted – one of the season’s three New York premieres – and Mercuric Tidings, a masterwork from 1982. The evening also honors the 50th anniversary of Aureole, hailed as the dance that launched a Golden Age.

There will be a seated dinner followed by a Dutch auction led by Sotheby’s Hugh Hildesley and dancing with the dancers of the Paul Taylor Dance Company. Guests of honor at the performance and gala are Aureole original cast members Paul Taylor, Elizabeth Walton, Dan Wagoner, Sharon Kinney and Renée Kimball Wadleigh.

Cumming won the Tony Award for Cabaret and also starred on Broadway in The Threepenny Opera and Design for Living. He is also known for his role as Eli Gold on CBS’ The Good Wife, for which he has received two Emmy nominations.
