Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey will join the cast of the Fox Network drama The Mob Doctor in a recurring role, according to TVGuide.
The actor will play Mark Easton, a federal prosecutor feared by the mob and corrupt politicians, and father to Zach Guilford’s character Dr. Brett Robinson.
The Mob Doctor stars Jordana Spiro as a young thoracic surgeon who must juggle her career and her life-long debt to the South Chicago mob.
Hickey won a 2011 Tony Award for his performance in The Normal Heart. His stage credits also include Mary Stuart, Cabaret, and many others. He stars on the Showtime comedy The Big C, which will complete its run in 2013.
